Arlington Police Investigating Graffiti Incident Believed To Be Antisemitic: Report
The offensive creation was discovered this past weekend.
ARLINGTON, MA — The police department is investigating a vandalism incident that reportedly involves antisemitic graffiti from this past weekend, according to a report from YourArlington.
The creation was discovered by a passerby at Reservoir Beach on 310 Lowell St. while walking between the parking lot and the dam. Upon arrival, police officers discovered a large swastika carved into the ice on the reservoir. The discovery has since been reported to the town’s Human Rights Commission, who documents all antisemitic incidents and works with the public school district in order to educate students against the hateful ideology. HRC co-chair Drake Pusey said that antisemitic graffiti has been a consistent occurrence in Arlington recently and that he and his peers are working to mitigate the issue.
