Arlington Police Logs: Breaking and Entering, Pedestrian Accident
Excerpts from the Arlington Police Logs.

ARLINGTON, MA—Here are some excerpts from the Arlington Police Logs from April 22-24. Times are based on the time that the incident was logged by police.
April 22:
01:55 p.m.: Police received reports of a tow truck that hit a parked vehicle at Mirak Chevrolet. After a few discussions and police involvement, the towing company paid for the damage to the vehicle.

05:27 p.m.: Police received a report from a man who had his wallet stolen. The man believed that his brother had stolen his wallet and his passport, but his passport had later turned up. The caller had reported that his brother had been stealing from family members in the past.
12:17 a.m.: Police had responded to reports of a loud party in the area of Mill St. near the bike path, and found a man obviously intoxicated. Police attempted to bring the man home, but were unable to rise any of his sleeping family members. The man was taken into protective custody until he was picked up by his brother.

April 23:
10:51 a.m.: Police responded to Massachusetts Ave. for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian was hit when a car stopped short to avoid the pedestrian and a chevy C3500 dump truck collided with the rear end of the car which struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian observed cuts to her right arm but was fine, and the driver of the dump truck was cited for following too closely.
1:21 p.m.: Police responded to a Sunnyside Ave. residence after reports of a man trying to break into a family vehicle. The reporting party stated that his wife noticed a man trying to break into the family's Mitsubishi vehicle. When she confronted the man he ran off, and a police search was unsuccessful. The man did not gain access to the vehicle and nothing was stolen or damaged.
April 24:
12:15 p.m.: Police spoke to a local business owner who was reporting two separate breaking and entering cases. He suspected that the suspect was his brother due to his long criminal history as a result of drug addiction. He formerly worked for the business but was fired and did not return the key. The reporting person states that the suspect stole $6,000 in cash and checks, and $4,500 during the second incident. There was no warrant out for the suspects arrest, but he had an extensive criminal history. The matter is still under investigation by the Arlington Police.
