Arlington Restaurant to Close its Doors After 20 Years of Business

The restaurant made the announcement Friday via its Facebook account.

ARLINGTON, MA—An East Arlington staple for over 20 years will be closing its doors. 

Bob and Mary Jo Sargent, the owners of East Arlington's Flora restaurant, are leaving the restaurant and will be passing it off to new owners Cyrille Coucet and Wayne Duprey. The couple announced that the restaurant will be re-branded with a new name and concept. 

According to a KickStarter page started by the new restaurant, Flora's last day of service will be June 30.

Coucet and Duprey plan to open "Financier", described as a french-inspired restaurant celebrating local ingredients.

The restaurant has raised $1,575 of its $20,000 goal through its Kickstarter page. Financier plans to open in September of 2016.
