Arlington Town Election: New Faces In Select Board Race
See who has taken out papers for the April 4 election.
ARLINGTON, MA — Nine candidates so far have taken out papers for the Town Election April 4 – and there's some new faces running for Select Board. Select Board Chair Diane Mahon is running for re-election, having pulled papers Dec. 6.
Windsor Street resident Lenard Diggins took out papers Dec. 31 and and Sean Harrington, of Lafayette Street, pulled papers Jan. 7. Neither candidate currently serves on the Select Board.
Incumbent School Committee members Bill Hayner and Paul Schlichtman are running for re-election, as well as incumbent assessor Mary Winstanley O'Connor. Three candidates have pulled papers for Town Clerk, Janice Weber of Crescent Hill Avenue; Patti Sawtelle, of College Avenue; and Juliana Brazile, of Coolidge Road.

Town Clerk Stephanie Lucarelli has been on leave since August after filing Town Meeting articles two months late. The Town Clerk serves a three-year term.
