Arlington Whole Foods Opening Draws Hundreds
See how the grocery store is already giving back to the community.

The new Arlington Whole Foods opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, drew at least a few hundred eager shoppers.
A crowd of people formed around the store’s opening “bread-breaking ceremony” and then a line extended to the back of the parking lot.
The store is at 808 Mass. Ave., the former home of Johnnie’s Foodmaster.

Whole Foods has donated a salad bar to Arlington High School and 5 percent of the store’s opening-day profits will be split among five local organizations: the Arlington Boys and Girls Club, Arlington Center for the Arts, Arlington Council on Aging, Arlington Education Foundation and Arlington Food Pantry.
