ARLINGTON, MA — Police arrested two New Hampshire residents last night, one for drinking and driving and the other for possession of cocaine after police came upon their car on Linwood Street.

Police arrested Kevin Bassett, 35, of Belmont Street in Manchester, NH, and charged him with possession of class B Drugs. At the Station the evidence was weighed at 0.5 grams. Tisha Remick, 32, Manchester, NH, was charged with OUI 1st Offense, Marked Lanes Violation, Open Container and Speeding.

About 2:48 a.m. police noticed an SUV pulled over on Linwood Street. When police approached, the driver asked where the nearest gas station was. The officer told her to turn right onto Mass Ave and head to the BP near Rt. 16 and Fresh Pond. When she turned left he followed her, ran the plates and then watched as she weaved in and out of the lanes, according to the report. The officer clocked her at above 40 in a 25 mile per hour zone, according to the report.

Remick told officers she had gone the wrong way because she was lost, but officers said she had slurred speech, glassy bloodshot eyes, and there was an obvious odor of an alcoholic beverage. When police asked her if she'd consent to a field sobriety test she at first declined allegedly telling police she'd fail. Then changed her mind, but made fun of police and then failed, according to the report.

At the station her chemical breath test registered a test result of 0.08 percent blood alcohol content, which is the legal maximum in the state.
