If you have a heart for coming alongside and serving women and families in crisis - this may be a great opportunity for you.
The Arlington First Step Program is looking for a few female volunteers to train and then serve 1-5 hours per week as advocates. You would be meeting one-on-one with victims to provide emotional support, connect them with local resources (such shelters, legal services, government benefits), and navigate the legal system.
This is initially a one year commitment (March 2015 - February 2016), including training and the possibility to volunteer again in the future.

This will be a great opportunity for college graduates, retired seniors, and everyone in between. If you have a warm, calm and welcoming presence, you might be a great fit.
We are conducting interviews now, and training begins the first week of March. If you are interested, contact us at info@arlingtonfirststep.com or 781-316-3219
