Brackett School Student Wins Second Place in MWRA Writing Contest; DPW Director Rademacher Attends Awards Ceremony
Arlington, MA student wins MWRA Annual Contest for her poem "The Seasons"

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is pleased to announce that Belen Sanchez-Mathews, a fifth grader at the Brackett School, Arlington, won Second Place in MWRA’s Annual Writing Contest. This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to write essays and poems about how MWRA workers do their jobs in all kinds of weather. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, May 26at the Deer Island Treatment Plant. Town of Arlington DPW Director Mike Rademacher attended the ceremony and congratulated the winners. All of the winning essays are on the MWRA website.
