The Catholic parishes of Arlington (St. Camillus & St. Agnes) will hold a one-day convocation on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at St. Camillus Church Hall, 1185 Concord Turnpike, Arlington. The day begins at 9:30am in the lower Church (all are welcome to the 9am daily Mass upstairs prior to the start), and will close with the 4:30pm Vigil Mass. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
The convocation is a one-day immersive experience that affords us all the opportunity to learn about the state of our parishes, to pray together and get to know each other, and to discuss how we can energize our worship, extend our generosity, educate ourselves in our faith, and evangelize more effectively. This discussion will aid us in developing our pastoral plan to respond to the very real challenges facing our Church and will shape how we move forward to grow and prosper spiritually as a faith family.
It has been a year since the parishes of St. Camillus and St. Agnes have officially formed a collaborative. New collaboratives assign a small committee to create the pastoral plan which sets a course for the collaborative. But a small committee can never fully represent the diverse needs of a community nor bring that plan to fruition. For this reason, we decided to plan a Collaborative Convocation for everyone to attend and weigh in on our future together.
We need your voice. Our collaborative will become what we make it, and this endeavor will be greatly enhanced by your participation.
More details and sign up information are available on our collaborative website cparl.org/convocation.
