Book Binding Crash Course

2 Saturdays, November 11 & 18, 1:00 - 4:00 pm -- $75 for nonmembers, $65 for members

Learn some of the basics of this traditional craft through a hands-on introduction to adhesive and non-adhesive binding methods, including case-binding, accordion, saddle stitch, long stitch, Japanese stab binding, and coptic stitching. Students will create six bound journals to take home. Register now.

Shibori Workshop

Saturday, December 2, 1 - 5:00 pm -- $50 for nonmembers, $40 for members

Shibori, the elegant forbearer to psychedelic tie-dye, is a Japanese resist dyeing technique that is simple enough to do in your backyard but is vast with possibilities. You will learn six traditional techniques to bind, fold, stitch, twist or compress fabric and indigo dye to achieve the distinctive geometric, organic look of shibori. Students will make six tea towels and a scarf to take home! Register now.

Stamped Holiday Cards Workshop

Tuesday, December 5, 6:00 - 8:30 pm -- $35 for nonmembers, $25 for members

Make your own holiday cards! Use printed papers, stamps, markers and pastels to create unique greeting cards. Register now.
