Fidelity House Releases Summer Program Offerings

With winter in the rear-view mirror, Fidelity House in Arlington is once again offering some great summer programs.

It's finally starting to feel like summer, knock on wood, and with that comes the release of information about summer programs at Fidelity House! With programs and activities for all ages, it's worth taking a look at some of the great things that are being offered. Fidelity House has been serving the community for 63 years, and their summer programs are some of their most popular.

Preschool Summer Program

For ages 2.9-5 years old, this program gives your youngsters an opportunity to dip their toe in the summer camp experience and see what all the hype is about! Fidelity House will be offering 12, one-week sessions, which start the week of June 11, with half-day (8:30am-12:30pm) and full-day (8:30am-4:30pm) options. Activities will include arts & crafts, music, story time, and nature activities. There will even be water games and sprinklers for those summer scorchers! The Preschool Summer Program will be held at Fidelity House Site 2.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade Day Camp

This programs takes all the fun of the Preschool program and ramps it up a notch! Campers will experience all of the Fidelity House fun of the Preschool program, i.e. arts & crafts, games, music, but will also get to go on field trips, have computer time, and do science discovery projects. K-1 Day Camp will also take trips to Minuteman High School in Lexington a few times a week for swimming lessons (only available 8 weeks). Fidelity House offers 10, one-week session (Monday-Friday), starting the week of June 25. Day Camp runs from 8:00am-4:30pm, with extended care options until 5:30pm for an additional fee.

Fidelity House Day Camp

Unlike the two previously mentioned programs, Fidelity House's Day Camp, for children in grades 2-6, will be held primarily at Minuteman High School in Lexington. Red Cross-certified swimming lessons will take place in their Olympic-sized swimming pool, and the outdoor athletic facilities will be used for games and activities. Day Camp also offers archery, arts & crafts, talent shows, and theme weeks! Day Camp is offered for eight weeks, starting the week of June 25, and will run from 8:00am-4:30pm, with extended care available until 6:30pm for an additional fee.

Registrations are now open for all three summer programs. You can register online at FidelityHouse.org, or stop by Fidelity House (25 Medford Street, Arlington) and register in person. All registrations, even those filled out online, MUST be accompanied by a completed registration form, which can be printed out from FidelityHouse.org or completed at Fidelity House. A $50/child/week registration fee is required at the time of registration to hold a spot in the program.
