Off-Leash Violations Now Reportable on Arlington Town Website

Off-leash hours violations and other dog-related violations can now be reported online.

ARLINGTON, MA—Although it mentioned that most dog owners are in full compliance with town laws, Arlington's Parks and Recreation Commission has determined that dogs are consistently off-leash at times which are in violation of town laws, the Town announced Thursday.

The town has announced that violations of the off-leash dog program can now be reported online. The reports will be used for data collection and will give the Animal Control Officer as well as the commission useful information to guide decision making and enforcement.

You can report violations through the town's website.

In Arlington, off-leash hours are between 6 and 9 a.m. in most of the town's park. Town Meeting decided in 2010 to allow responsible dog owners to have their dogs off-leash during certain hours of the day.
