Massachusetts Ave. Walkshop to be Held Thursday

The town is seeking public feedback to help make Arlington Center more customer and pedestrian friendly.

ARLINGTON, MA—After inclement weather cancelled the original May 5 Mass. Ave Walkshop, residents will take to Mass. Ave Thursday and contribute public feedback to the planning process of Arlington Center.

The newly rescheduled walkshop takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday and will run until 7:30 p.m. Residents are asked to meet at the steps in front of Town Hall, and will be walking the corridor with staff and consultants to discuss key locations identified during the first session.

If you can't make the Walkshop, you can follow along on Twitter via the hashtag #Arlwaklshop.

According to a town announcement, the engineering firm of VHB is working with the Town to develop a conceptual design for the area. This will result in a scope of work for the reconstruction of Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington Center, from Pond Lane to Mill Street.

The town is matching local funds with community development block grant funds administered by the Department of Planning and Community Development.
