New Bus Service Coming To Arlington Center This Fall
The MBTA will provide a direct link from Arlington Center to the Orange Line in Sullivan Square as part of its Better Bus Project.

ARLINGTON, MA — The MBTA will add new bus service to Arlington Center through the Better Bus Project. Starting Sept. 1, Route 95 will begin running alternating trips to Arlington Center with new stops on High Street in Medford and Medford Street in Arlington. The bus will start and end on Medford Street by the Regent Theatre, where the Route 80 bus stops. This change will provide a direct link from Arlington Center to the Orange Line stop in Sullivan Square, town officials said.
Route 89, which runs between Sullivan Square and Clarendon Hill, will run on an adjusted schedule. Between Clarendon Hill and Davis Square, there will be reduced hours on weekdays and weekend service will be eliminated. On weekdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and after 7 p.m., bus riders will need to take Route 87 or 88 to Davis Square and transfer to the 89 for service to Sullivan Square.
The purpose of this change is to provide more frequent bus service between Davis, Broadway/Winter Hill, and Sullivan Square.
