New Chapter for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce

Kristin Bedard named Chamber's Associate Director/Executive Director Designate

As part of a planned leadership transition, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce has selected Kristin Bedard as Associate Director/Executive Director Designate.

An Arlington native, Kristin brings more than 25 years of experience in communications, member engagement, events, sponsorships, and business development across media, technology, nonprofit, and educational organizations.

“We were particularly impressed by Kristin’s enthusiasm for the Chamber’s mission and her relationship-first approach,” said Beth Locke, Executive Director of the Arlington Chamber. “She brings a wealth of highly transferable experience, along with energy, professionalism, and a genuine connection to Arlington.”

For Kristin, the opportunity to take on a leadership role in her hometown is especially meaningful.

“Having grown up here in Arlington, I’m thrilled to join you all in the important—and fun—work ahead,” said Kristin. “It is a great honor to serve a community I care deeply about and to work with our businesses, cultural organizations and the Town to help Arlington continue to flourish and thrive.”

The role supports a smooth leadership transition while maintaining continuity for Chamber members and the broader Arlington business community. In September, Kristin began working with Beth and the Board of Directors to familiarize herself with the Chamber's programs, events, membership initiatives, communications, and advocacy efforts.

Beth has decided to step down as Executive Director at the end of this year after nearly 12 years leading the Chamber. During her tenure, she has focused on strengthening the Chamber’s membership, expanding its programming and visibility, advocating for Arlington businesses, and building connections among the local business community and Town. She launched Visit Arlington Magazine & Community Guide, an annual publication promoting Arlington as a destination for shopping, dining, arts, culture, and recreation.

The Arlington Chamber of Commerce supports and connects local businesses by providing resources, visibility, advocacy, and opportunities for businesses to build relationships and grow. The Chamber also works to promote Arlington as a vibrant place to live, work, shop, dine, and visit.
