No Fireworks Ahead Of Arlington Town Day 2019
Money to fund Town Night was not raised by the vendor deadline.
ARLINGTON, MA — There will be no Town Night fireworks or events in Arlington this year. The celebration is usually held the night before Arlington Town Day, but it was not funded ahead of the vendor deadline, according to YourArlington.
Last year, a GoFundMe campaign raised money for a fireworks display at Spy Pond Field and Park. No such effort happened by the Sept. 6 deadline this year, YourArlington reported.
The 43rd annual Arlington Town Day celebration is set for Saturday, Sept. 14. The event will take place on Massachusetts Avenue between Pleasant and Jason Streets from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Click here for more details.
