Panera’s Replacement Going for Operating License Monday

The license would make the proposed bagel place one big step closer to becoming a reality.

Bagelville, the Boston bagel place planning to replace the old Arlington Heights Panera, is going before the Board of Selectmen Monday for an operating license.

The eatery’s owner, Sergio Goncalves, is technically seeking a “common victualler license,” which would grant him the ability to serve food at the spot.

Bagelville currently has one location in Boston’s Faneuil Hall. Its menu is similar to Panera’s, with bagels, breakfast bagel sandwiches, lunch bagel sandwiches, regular sandwiches, salads, soups and pizza bagels.
