What police were up to this week in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington Police release a public log of the types of calls they receive and events they log each day, detailing the time the call was logged and the manner of the call and the street name. The information below comes from that log. Be advised that just because someone called to report something to police doesn't mean that's what police found when they responded.

Monday, July 31
Deadly weapon: Police arrested a man near the corner of Bailey Road and Gloucester Street just before 6 p.m. for assault with a dangerous weapon (a bicycle). See the full Patch story here.
Larceny: Someone reported a theft of something worth more than $250 by false pretense on Brunswick Road.
ID Theft: Someone was issued a citation for Larceny over $250 by a single scheme via ID theft.
Tuesday, Aug. 1
Vandal: Someone called to report vandalism on Dudley Street.
ID Theft: Someone reported a credit card theft on Washington Street.
Pedestrian hit: Around 11 a.m. someone reported a pedestrian was involved in a crash with a car. The driver was issued a citation for failing to use caution when reversing somewhere on Mass Ave.
Stolen: Someone reported a larceny of something worth more than $250 on Cedar Avenue.

Wednesday, Aug. 2
For the dogs: There was a dog complaint on Mass Ave in the morning.
Vandalism: Police issued a citation for someone maliciously destroying property on Thorndike Street and one on Lombard Terrace.
Harassment: Police noted someone was given a citation for criminal harassment on Broadway.
Not so sunny: Police issued a citation for something they noted as a neighbor problem.
Thursday, Aug. 3
Dog complaint: At Chandler Street and Mass Ave there was an incident involving a dog.
Vandalism: Police issued a citation for someone for maliciously destroying property on Palmer Street.
Rescue: Police noted there was a "rescue" on Mill Street at 10:57 p.m.
