Restorative Justice in Our Own Lives: An Experiential Workshop on Harm and Healing

Workshop Led by Cathy Hoffman of the Cambridge Restorative Justice Circles Working Group. Learn about restorative justice experientially.

On Monday, November 30, 7-9 p.m. in the Parlor of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Arlington, 630 Mass. Ave., Arlington.

Our culture’s responses to harm typically focus on separation, punishment, and disconnection. This evening is an opportunity to explore relationship-oriented approaches to harm and healing – restorative practices that build community and heal harms by listening, deepening our understanding, and being truly accountable. These practices can be used in families, schools, neighborhoods, and legal structures.

This event is part of Restorative Justice Heals – a year-long series of programs sponsored by First Parish Arlington’s Mass Incarceration Working Group. Parking is in municipal lots on the other side of Mass. Ave. For more information, email end-mass-incarceration@firstparish.info
