Robbins Library: Vote On The Arlington Reads Together Community Book Pick By October 15

You are invited to vote for Arlington’s next community book pick!  Each March, hundreds of Arlingtonians participate in the annual Arlington Reads Together program, either by checking out the book at Robbins or Fox libraries or by attending one of the many community read programs. New this year, the library invites you to vote for the 2022 community read at robbinslibrary.org. The voting period closes October 15.

Since 2002 the annual Arlington Reads Together program has brought the community together to talk about inspiring ideas through book discussions, author talks, and events for children, teens, and adults.  The Robbins Library solicits community read nominations in the summer.  A committee of library staff and community partners come together to select the book choice from the submissions.  This year, the selection committee chose a shortlist of three titles from the original long list of 31 community nominations. Anna Litten, Assistant Director of libraries says, “We want the book choice to be meaningful and inspiring to the community. What better way than to have Arlington vote?”

Find additional information about these titles through the library catalog.  The voting form is available at robbinslibrary.org. The voting period closes on October 15.

The Arlington Reads Together community read program launched in 2002 as a way of bringing the community together through literature. The goal is to address issues, understand differences and create connections through the shared experience of reading.
