Some of the duties that you could be assigned are: shelving materials, pulling materials from the shelves, using various library equipment, cleaning and repackaging library materials, or putting together crafts and other items for programs. You will be asked to push carts and carry library materials – so this job doubles as a great workout.
The hours vary from 4 – 14 hours per week, depending on the department, and the pay is $13.50 per hour. Fill out the Library Page Application. We’re excited to meet you!

Library Departments and Related Page Duties
Children’s Services: We’ll be asking you to put our materials back in their proper place. Accurate and timely shelving is of utmost importance in Children’s. Everything else we do revolves around being able to find materials on the shelves.
Adult Services: The Adult Services page job is 7 hours per week. We’ll be asking you to do detail-oriented tasks like pulling particular books from the shelves or inventorying collections by matching books to a list. You may also be asked to update system records, do photocopying, and other various tasks.
Teen Services: Teen Services needs your help putting books back on shelves, helping keep the teen space orderly, prepping for programs, keeping the teen collection up to date and good looking. Someone good with self direction, minor computer skills, and a love of books highly desired.
Circulation Department: In the Circ Department we’re looking for someone who can shelve books, move books, shelf read and help with other projects as they arise. Accuracy and attention to detail is of utmost importance.
Technical Services (Materials Processing): The Tech Services Department processes all the materials destined for the shelves at the Robbins and Fox Libraries. We’ll be asking you to add identifying information to our materials (stickers, labels, stamping, etc.) and tape covers, etc. Attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential.
Fox Branch Library: The Fox Library in East Arlington hires pages to shelve books and generally keep things neat and orderly.
