Rte. 2, I-95 Bridges Project to Close Exits This Weekend

The construction will shift Rte. 2 eastbound traffic to the new Rte. 2 bridge for the final phase of construction.

LEXINGTON, MA—Construction on the Rte. 2 and I-95 Interchange is set to enter its final stage, with traffic set to shift from Rte. 2 eastbound to the new Rte. 2 eastbound bridge this weekend.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, The shift is set to take place beginning at 8 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. The traffic shift will allow work to later shift westbound traffic to the new Rte. 2 West bridge in mid-May.

  • Exit 52A from Rte. 2 East to I-95 South
  • Exit 52B from Rte. 2 East to I-95 North
  • Exit 29A from I-95 South to Rte. 2 East
  • Exit 29A from I-95 North to Rte. 2 East
