It was a slow start for both teams, in the orange and black gym. Beth Clifton got Attleboro on the scoreboard first with a put back. Oliver Ames countered with a Kate Holleran basket but Bri LaPlume made good on the second of two from the charity stripe, putting Attleboro back in front. Free throws by OA’s Meghan Hurley and a hoop by Emma Williams gave the Tigers a 6-3 lead. Baskets by Clifton and Sarah Deyo cut that lead to 1, as the quarter ended 8-7.
Kerri Beland opened the second quarter with a 3 and Emily Houle followed with another, putting Attleboro in the lead, 13-11. Deyo’s basket increased the Bombardier advantage and 8 free throws (4 by Beland and 2 each by Kim Runey and Deyo) closed out the half with Attleboro holding a slim 23-21 lead.
The Tigers scored first to open the second half but baskets by Clifton and 5 points by Houle saw the Bombardiers take a 30-26 lead. Oliver Ames closed the gap to within 1 but 2 hoops inside by Deyo ended the third quarter with Attleboro in front, 34-29.

In the final 8 minutes of play OA put points on the board first. The Bombardiers answered with 2 free throws by Deyo. The clock winding down, Attleboro suffered a lapse in defense and the Tigers scored on an uncontested lay-up, tying the score. A 3 by Beland put Attleboro back in the lead and Deyo sealed the victory for Attleboro, hitting 3-4 free throws.
It was a banner day for Attleboro as Senior Captain Bri LaPlume pulled down her 500th rebound, with 2:19 remaining in the third quarter. Sarah Deyo hit for a double double, with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kerry Beland added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Emily Houle chipped in with 8 points and 6 rebounds.
