After Over A Decade, Justice: Barnstable Man Convicted For 2015 Rape
A jury's finding on Thursday comes after the victim disclosed the attack in 2023.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A jury has found a man guilty for the 2015 rape of an 18-year-old girl from Truro, prosecutors said Friday.
Richard Reynolds, 52, of Barnstable, was convicted Thursday after a six-day jury trial in Barnstable Superior Court.
In August 2015, Reynolds was working as a contractor for the victim’s mother and became friendly with the girl, who considered him an “uncle figure,” according to a statement from Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois.
