Cumberland Farms to Donate to HYCC Scholarship Fund

 Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC) will be receiving fiscal support to sustain its Youth Scholarship Fund with the help of a fundraiser sponsored by Cumberland Farms.

For four weeks beginning on Wednesday, March 28, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage, iced tea, and coffee (iced or hot) purchased at its newly remodeled store at 1171 Iyannough Road, Rte 132 in Hyannis to benefit the Hyannis Youth & Community Center’s Youth Scholarship Fund, which offers financial aid to youth and families who are seeking membership. HYCC serves the Barnstable school district’s athletic department, as well as those of private and charter schools, after school and weekend programs, competitive athletic organizations, community groups, while also providing programs and special events for visitors from all over Cape Cod and beyond. 

Through the Youth Scholarship Fund, HYCC was able to qualify 56 families last year to receive financial subsidies for recreation programs including HYCC memberships. Cumberland Farms is working to raise at least $1,000 for the scholarship fund. Customers will also have the opportunity to chip in as well by voluntarily adding donations in 50 cent increments to their purchases at the store.

Over the past year, Cumberland Farms has donated more than $100,000 to support local organizations across the Northeast.
