Hyannis Man Killed After Being Shot 3 Times

HYANNIS, MA — A Hyannis man was shot and killed outside a home in the 300 block of Yarmouth Road, according the the Cape and Islands District Attorney's office. Around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, police received a 911 call and found Darrell Russ, 33, lying on the ground with three gunshot wounds.

Russ was rushes to Cape Cod Hospital but succumbed to his injuries there. The Chief Medical Examiner's office has ruled the death a homicide.

The death remains under investigation by Barnstable and State Police. No further information is available at this time.
