Murdered Cape Cod Woman's Body Was Left 'For Days': Report
Jennifer Beltrame's brother, who shared a Sandwich house with his sister, is accused of killing her in a fight.

SANDWICH, MA — The 61-year-old woman found dead in a Sandwich home Tuesday was killed in a fight by her brother, who then left her body in a bedroom for days, according to prosecution filings reported by MassLive.com.
Detectives believe Jennifer Beltrame’s body remained in the upstairs room while Kenneth Beltrame, 67, stayed downstairs and repeatedly got drunk, according to the website. The siblings shared the house at 20 Freeman Ave., near Town Neck Beach.
Police found the body of Jennifer Beltrame on Tuesday morning after being called to the home for a well-being check. When they arrived, Kenneth Beltrame was outside the residence and said his sister was inside and that she was dead.

The body showed “obvious signs of violent trauma,” said a statement from Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois and Sandwich Police Chief Jason Keene.
Kenneth Beltrame was arrested and pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder at his arraignment Wednesday in Barnstable District Court. His competence to stand trial is now being evaluated at Bridgewater State Hospital, where he is held without bail.
