Suspected Drunk Driver Admitted Drinking, Mouthed Off
Police arrested a man who said he "had a lot to drink."

Barnstable Police arrested a man Saturday night for driving under the influence of alcohol after a good Samaritan called police to report erratic driving.
Police arrested Frederick Durham, 51, of 87 Ridgewood Ave., Hyannis for driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop for an officer, moving outside of marked lanes and operating a motor vehicle without license in possession.
According to the arrest report, police tailed Durham with sirens and lights on down Route 132. While trailing, Police observed erratic and dangerous driving with speeds maxing out around 20 mph. They followed Durham from the Phinney's Lane to the Cape Cod Mall to the Marriott, where he finally pulled over.

Durham pulled over and officers noticed his slurred speech, glassed and bloodshot eyes. He stepped out of the car with the zipper to his pants undone.
When asked how much he had to drink, he allegedly said he had had "a lot to drink."

Police asked Durham if he could complete a sobriety test and he laughed, the report said.
Police placed Durham under arrest. Once in custody at the police station, Durham became agitated - he swore at officers, flipped them off, refused to go to his celland demanded his shoes.
Durham allegedly became very agitated because he could not reach a sober person to pick him up from the station.
Durham has 16 entries on his probation record and several motor vehicle offenses according to court documents.
