
The young Shaw Road boy who was struck by a tree limb Thursday, April 29, has died.
Nicholas Marrama, 9, was playing in the driveway of a neighbor's house with several other children when a large limb from a tree located close by broke off and hit the young boy, seriously injuring him.
"It is with tremendous sadness that we share the news of the passing of Nicholas Marrama, student at the Burbank Elementary School," said a prepared statement signed by Belmont Superintendent George Entwistle and Burbank Elementary Principal Christine Francis.

"Our thoughts and our prayers go out to his family, his teachers, classmates and all those many others that Nicholas touched during his lifetime. We will continue to ensure that students and staff receive the support needed to process through this very, very tragic loss."
According to an online obituary, Nicholas K. Marrama was son of Robert N. Jr and Ewa K. Marrama and brother of Ella Marrama.

He was the grandson of Robert and Jacqueline Marrama of Florida, and Teresa and Marian Wilinski of Poland. His aunt Susan Garwood, uncle David Marrama and many other extended family members, survives him.
Visiting hours for Marrama will be held at St Joseph's Church 124 Common St., on Wednesday May 5 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 6, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be at Belmont's Highland Meadow Cemetery.
