Goose Rescued After Week Tangled In Fishing Line On North Shore College Campus (patch.com) — Beverly residents at Endicott College helped save a Canada goose that spent a week tangled in fishing line at Endicott Lake, repeatedly eluding earlier rescue attempts. Campus public safety and local animal control officers finally captured the bird, removed the line and hook, and transported it to a wildlife rehabilitation facility for further medical care.
   

2. North Shore Man Wins 'Bigfoot Bucks' Playing Online Instant Game (patch.com) — A Beverly man, John Vincent, just scored a $109,989 win playing the Mass Lottery's new online Bigfoot Bucks eInstant game, calling the experience surreal. After claiming his prize in Dorchester, he says he plans to repair his car and save most of his unexpected windfall.

Globe Schools Insider: Ernie Adams's first win, Tabor gets upset, and three D1 commitments (bostonglobe.com) — Beverly football fans have reason to celebrate after senior running back Sean Okhuozagbon rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns, becoming the first Panthers back in eight years to top 200 yards in a game. His performance powered Beverly's 35-16 win over Revere and earned him recognition among the state's standout high school athletes this week.

Clay Aiken Plots Return With The Rewind Tour And Album (antimusic.com) — Clay Aiken is bringing his 2027 Rewind Tour to The Cabot in Beverly on February 21, giving local fans a rare chance to see his first solo tour in 15 years. Update: Fire crews battle four-alarm blaze in Rockport (cnhi.com) — North Shore fire crews, including firefighters from Beverly, helped battle a four-alarm blaze in Rockport that displaced two families and damaged businesses, including Rockport House of Pizza. While no people were hurt, a cat died, and officials are investigating the cause as residents rally with online fundraisers for those affected.
