Police: Backpack of Hypodermic Needles Found; Driver Doing "Donuts;" Party Reported Being Sucker Punched

Friday, March 27
At 4:13 p.m., suspicious activity, motor vehicle in playground at Obear Park on Livingston Avenue. Driver doing “donuts” in playground was advised he would not be doing any more donuts in the park.
At 4:00 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Apple Road and Oberlin Road. Driver cited for fire road violations, passenger restriction and modified/loud exhaust.

At 11:10 p.m., suspicious activity on Dodge Street. Female heard noises downstairs. Checked, nothing found.
Saturday, March 28

At 12:58 a.m., disturbance/fight on Rantoul and Wallis streets. Past assault, party reported being sucker punched. Parties left the area.
At 1:30 a.m., smoke in a home on Chanticleer Drive. Smoking burner motor was turned off by Beverly Fire.
At 1:31 a.m., assist Massachusetts State Police on Lexington Drive. On standby with MSP during an investigation.
At 1:16 p.m.,hazard in the roadway on Cabot Street. Collapsed catch basin. DPW notified.
At 6:05 p.m., backpack of hypodermic needles found in area of School and Cox streets. Backpack of hypodermic needles found. Officer observed 11 syringes on the bridge sidewalk, and two bags of recyclables. All items were removed and disposed of properly.
At 10:03 p.m., two-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Cabot Street. Each driver cited. One driver received citation for driving without a license and registration. The other driver was cited for failure to use care in turning.
Sunday, March 29
At 12:34 a.m., disturbance/house party on Story Avenue. Report of loud party, too many occupants. Advised to keep the noise down.
At 9:44 a.m., hazard in roadway on Hart Avenue. Cone placed in roadway to warn drivers of a pothole that was approximately 6 to 8 inches deep in the middle of the roadway near Neuco trench. DPW notified.
At 10:54 a.m., burglary/break and enter motor vehicle on Cabot Street. Items stolen from a truck.
At 7:44 p.m., possible assault on Pleasant Street.
