Brand New Outdoor Sports Hub To Debut In Boston

Along with its padel and pickleball courts, Ballers will offer a food truck and other curated community experiences.

BOSTON, MA — A brand-new outdoor sports destination is set to debut in Boston's Seaport neighborhood next month.

Ballers Seaport, which will feature outdoor racquet sports and social hangout spots, is set to officially open in mid-April. The 30,000-square-foot open-air venue is located at 25 Pier 4 Blvd.

The sports hub will offer three outdoor padel courts and five premium pickleball courts. There will also be a chef-driven food truck and other curated dining experiences.

For locals, there will be community programming, including leagues and fitness classes.

Ballers was backed by multiple athletes, including tennis pros Andre Agassi, Kim Clijsters, and Sloane Stephens, as well as a top-ranked pickleball pro, Connor Garnett; and its concept was founded by hospitality entrepreneurs David Gutstadt and Amanda Potter, who hope to bring a new kind of sports venue designed for modern urban life.

“Ballers is about more than just playing — it’s about creating a place where sport, wellness, culture, and community come together,” said Gutstadt. “Boston is an incredibly vibrant sports city, and Seaport is the perfect place to introduce a destination built around the shared love of racquet sports.”

For the winter, Ballers had a ice rink, igloos, cozy firepits and hot drinks. The winter experience closed in mid-March but will return next winter.

Ballers will be open to all, but committed padel and pickleball enthusiasts can join as members. There will be two membership tiers, which are available here.

The new sports hub is not the only new addition that's popped up nearby.

Just inside, Boston Provisions, a store offering high-quality meat and seafood, opened at 1 Boston Wharf earlier this month, while luxury notebook seller Moleskine opened there in November.

Other retailers located nearby are Pressed Cafe, Blue Bottle Coffee and a Skims retail location, which is set to open according to signage outside the storefront.
