Customizable Apparel Brand Opens New Pop-Up In MA (patch.com) — Boston shoppers have a new reason to visit the Seaport, where customizable apparel brand Brodenim has opened a larger seasonal pop-up at The Superette with its interactive Patch Bar. Customers can personalize sweatshirts, jackets, and hats with more than 300 patch options, including Boston, Seaport, and Celtics-themed designs, plus officially licensed NBA team patches. The shop also hosts private events and custom corporate orders, offering flexible hours throughout the week.
   

2. Boston Police Looking To Identify Possible Assailant (patch.com) — Boston police are asking for the public's help identifying a man believed to be involved in an assault that left a victim with facial injuries near 105 South Huntington Ave. on Sept. 25. Detectives are urging anyone with information to call their unit or submit anonymous tips through Boston Police CrimeStoppers so they can move the investigation forward. The case remains open and no arrests have been made.
   

3. Loaded Gun Found In Car During Boston Traffic Stop (patch.com) — Boston police say a Quincy man was arrested in Dorchester after officers conducting a traffic stop found a loaded Glock 19 handgun hidden inside the car's radio casing. The Sunday night stop on Washington Street led to multiple firearm and motor vehicle charges, with the suspect expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
   

4. Boston's 'Best Sandwich' draws long lines in NYC as lines double in the North End (boston.com) — North End favorite Table Mercato, crowned Boston's "Best Sandwich" in 2025, is drawing huge crowds at its new East Village pop-up while lines at its Hanover Street shop have doubled. Boston residents should expect busier weekends and possible sellouts as its oversized chicken cutlet sandwiches go viral and the owner juggles booming demand in both cities.
   

5. Healey, state officials, announce winter energy bill relief for Massachusetts - Boston News, Weather, Sports (whdh.com) — Massachusetts residents, including those in Boston, could see lower winter heating and electric bills after Governor Maura Healey declared a State of Emergency and expanded home energy assistance. The plan adds a new benefit for about 50,000 middle-class households, boosts support for roughly 156,000 low-income families, removes certain electric bill charges, and activates protections against petroleum price gouging statewide.
