Getting right to the point: The National Weather Service has sent out updated times on when you can expect the snow to end, how much snow has already fallen and just how hard these wind gusts have been. The storm will continue to last throughout the day well into the evening.

That means that a whole lot more snow will fall, which is bad news for most of Massachusetts. The NWS released unofficial snowfall totals a little after noon. The highest totals so far have been reported in Southeastern Mass., with 9.5 inches in the Dighton area. Totals in parts of the South Shore have crept over 8 inches.

Maximum wind gusts have been next-level around the state, with the strongest — 75 mph — recorded at Wellfleet. Other areas in the Cape have experienced gusts of about 70 mph.
