• Central Mass. legislators push back on Amazon drone proposal (masslive.com) — Boylston is included in Amazon's proposed 7.5‑mile drone delivery zone from its Westborough distribution center, which has prompted local legislators to ask the company to pause the plan. They want clearer details on flight paths, hours, noise, privacy, safety and environmental impacts before Westborough's Planning Board decides whether to approve the project, which would affect Boylston airspace and neighborhoods.
• Mass DCR update on Asian Longhorned Beetle in CMass (spectrumnews1.com) — Boylston remains inside the Asian Longhorned Beetle restricted zone, along with Worcester, West Boylston and part of Auburn, even as Shrewsbury and Holden have been deregulated. State forest health crews continue intensive surveys, and officials urge residents to report any suspicious insects quickly so Boylston can eventually be cleared and tree-cutting impacts minimized.
• Chicago firm buys Boylston distribution site for $90M (wbjournal.com) — A major distribution complex at 80 Pine Hill Drive in Boylston has been sold to Chicago-based LaSalle Investment Management for $90.25 million, with Cardinal Health as its main tenant. The 396,000-square-foot site, assessed at $24 million by the Town of Boylston, underscores strong demand for Central Massachusetts logistics space and could influence local tax revenues and economic activity.
