Barnstable Police Warn Of Text Scammers

Scammers sent texts telling people they have a package but told residents they need to fill out a survey to get it delivered.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable police warned residents to be on the look out for a text message scam.

Police said they've received several reports of scammers sending texts with people's first names telling residents they have a package awaiting delivery. The texts tell residents they must complete a survey before receiving their package.

If you receive this text do not click any of the links within it, as your personal information may be compromised if you do.
