Braintree Police Searching for Male who Follows Women Near Watson Park

Two women have told police that they were followed by a man in the area.

Braintree, MA – Two women have told Braintree police that a suspicious man followed them around the Watson Park neighborhood.

The Braintree Police Department received the first report on June 23 around 6:30 p.m. The first victim, who was at Watson Park with her son, told police that a man followed her from the park to her home. Police say the man walked past her house a few times and walked up her driveway. He left when he heard a dog barking.

The suspect was described as a clean-shaven white man with neatly cut hair, 5'10" to 6 feet. He wore a white shirt, black basketball shorts, and white sneakers. He was carrying what appeared to be a white iPhone and a basketball.

Two days later, another woman reported a similar incident just before 11 p.m. The second victim told police that she was talking on Arborway Drive near Argyle Road when the man approached her from behind, grabbed her, and ran in the opposite direction. He was last seen on Arthur Street and police were unable to find a suspect during a search.

The woman described the suspect as a white man between the ages of 18 and 22. He wore a white shirt and black shorts.

Police are investigating the cases. In the meantime, there will be an increase in uniformed and plainclothes officers in the area.
