Braintree Man Involved in Fatal Crash Arrested Twice in Two Days
A Braintree man is accused of drugged driving and failure to yield to a cyclist.

A Braintree man accused of driving under the influence has been arrested twice in as many days.
Edward King was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs when he hit a 53-year-old male who was riding his bicycle to church in Braintree this week according to WHDH.
Less than 48 hours before the incident, King was arrested in Weymouth after he was accused of swerving across the road while driving. An officer said that he found King halfout out of his car holding a vial of prescription drugs and blocking traffic

When asked if he had been abusing medication, King allegedly said “I take a lot of meds.” King’s lawyer says he deals with a lot of physical pain and has had numerous operations on his back.
Weymouth Police were only allowed to hold King’s car for 12 hours and gave it back so he could drive.
