Braintree Police Investigating Bank Robbery

BRAINTREE, MA — Police in Braintree are investigating a robbery that took place at a bank on Washington Street.

Saturday morning, a man entered the Rockland Trust Bank located at 405 Washington St. and passed a note demanding money, according to Police Chief Russell Jenkins. After receiving the money, the man fled towards West Street. Police were unable to find the suspect during a search of the area.

No weapon was shown and no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20’s, tall with a slight build, and pale complexion. He wore sunglasses, a red or burgundy sweatshirt and sweatpants, and a red hat.
