Braintree to Recognize Autism Awareness Month

Town Hall will be "Lit up Blue" for the entire month of April in honor of Autism Awareness.

BRAINTREE, MA — Mayor Joseph C. Sullivan has announced that he will host the annual declaration of April as “Autism Awareness Month” in the Town of Braintree on April 4 at 4 p.m. The event will be held in the Johnson Room on the second floor of Braintree Town Hall. Residents are welcome to attend.

“It is an honor to host this yearly event” said Sullivan. “Not only do we demonstrate our solidarity with those in our community with autism but we want to recognize the great work being done by SEPAC (Special Education Parents Advisory Council) and BANDS (Braintree Autism Network for our Daughters and Sons) to promote inclusion in our town.”

In addition to the ceremony on April 4, Town Hall will be “Lit up Blue” for the entire month of April in honor of Autism Awareness.
