Braintree Sex Offender Charged With Going To Quincy Playgrounds Nude

Police say Stephen Goudy was pantless at one playground and fully nude at another.

QUNICY, MA — A Level 3 sex offender from Braintree is facing new accusations that he went to two Quincy playgrounds while fully exposed.

Stephen Goudy, 56, was arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court on charges of opening and gross lewdness, failure to stop for police, and a stop sign violation. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released Tuesday on $15,000 bail and the condition that he wear a GPS monitor, remain at home, and have no unsupervised contact with any minors, according to Quincy District Court.

Sunday night, Quincy police received several calls for a man walking down the streets wearing only a white T-shirt near Parker Elementary School. Witnesses say he left in a truck. Prosecutors say that the playground area near the school was packed, according to the Patriot Ledger.

Minutes later, police received another call from Atlantic Middle School for a man who was driving a truck while nude and talking to a person's young daughter.

Quincy police located Goudy after witnesses recorded his license plate number.

An attorney for Goudy said he has been steadily working and living with his mother.

Goudy was convicted of open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior in 1984 and aggravated rape in 1985, according to the state's sex offender registry.

Goudy is due back in court July 26.
