Braintree Team Selected for Red Bull Flugtag on the Charles

Teams will fly their homemade aircrafts over the river on Aug. 20.

BRAINTREE, MA – The Red Bull Flugtag is coming to Boston for the first time this summer, and a Braintree team is among the DIY aeronautical engineers hoping to get their homemade plane airborne.

In a complete disregard for gravity that would make Orville and Wilbur proud, teams will launch their aircrafts over the Charles River August 20. Each pilot will attempt to remain airborne without the assistance of motors, rockets, batteries or elastic bands before settling - or crash landing - in the river.
