Braintree Theater Stabbing Suspect Pleads Not Guilty
This latest plea comes nearly a month after Jared Ravizza was indicted for stabbing two employees at a McDonald's in Plymouth.
MASSACHUSETTS — Nearly a month after he was indicted for stabbings at a McDonald's in Plymouth, Jared Ravizza entered a not guilty plea related to the Braintree movie theater stabbings.
Ravizza, 26, of Chilmark, faces multiple charges related to a stabbing spree that took place in Braintree and Plymouth, and he is connected to a murder investigation in Connecticut.
On Friday, Ravizza pleaded not guilty to charges connected to the the AMC theater stabbing on May 25, when four girls were stabbed. He is being held without bail and, according to WCVB, his attorney said they will likely pursue a "mental health defense."

In September, Ravizza was indicted on assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charges related to the stabbing of two McDonald's employees at the Route 3 rest area location in Plymouth.
Ravizza faces four charges each of attempt to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Braintree, stemming from the AMC theater stabbing.

The theater stabbing happened first, around 6 p.m., when Ravizza entered AMC Braintree 10 in the 100 block of Grandview Avenue, passed the ticket counter, went into one of the theaters without paying and stabbed four girls, unprovoked and without warning, police said. He then fled the theater in a black SUV, according to police.
The girls, ages 9 to 17, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to hospitals for treatment, police said.
Police reports, first reported on by Boston 25, detail the experience of the victims in the theater who described Ravizza like a horror movie character.
"He had a smile on his face that looked like it was sculpted out of a horror movie, he was freaky, he had wrinkles on his face, his face was so animated, and he laughed like the Joker," one victim said.
