Braintree Woman Charged with Robbing Bank in Quincy

A Braintree woman accused of robbing a bank in Quincy turned herself into police Tuesday morning.

Amanda Kozlowski, 34, was arraigned in Quincy District Court Tuesday and charged with unarmed robbery and larceny over $250.

She was held on $10,000 cash bail and has been ordered to stay away from South Shore Cooperative Bank and the victim of the alleged robbery.

On July 18, police responded to a report of a robbery at the bank on Franklin Street in Quincy. According to court documents, Kozlowski walked into the bank a little before 11:10 a.m. and sat at a desk to talk to an employee. Shortly later, she handed the employee a note demanding cash from the bank. Kozloski allegedly left the bank in a white Jeep after taking the cash.

Witnesses who saw the incident were able to describe the suspect, the vehicle, and the license plate number to police. Observing a booking photo from a previous incident, the victim was able to identify Kozlowski, leading police to issue a warrant for her arrest.

Kozlowski is due back in court on July 31.
