Braintree Woman Charged with Throwing Hot Coffee at Clerk

A Braintree woman faces charges after allegedly throwing hot coffee at the clerk of a 7-Eleven at the Weymouth Landing.

Debra E. Holland, 24, of Braintree was arrested on Tuesday morning and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct, according to Police Chief Russ Jenkins.

The victim told police that Holland was arguing with her and another clerk over a past debt owed by her companion when Holland threw a cup of coffee at her face, causing it to burn.
