Braintree Woman Tried to Use Fake Cash at McDonald's: Police
Police say Rashauna Hassan tried to use a counterfeit $10 bill at a McDonald's in Braintree.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree woman and an unidentified man attempted to make a purchase at the Pearl Street McDonald's with counterfeit money, police said.
Rashauna Hassan, 23, was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering a counterfeit note. The second suspect remains at large, according to Police Chief Russell Jenkins.
On Aug. 16 at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to McDonald’s after learning that a male and Hassan allegedly passed counterfeit $10 bills. Police say Hassan attempted to make a purchase inside the restaurant but a manager became suspicious of the bill and told her they could not accept it. The male made a purchase at the drive-thru and after the purchase, the restaurant realized he had used what appeared to be a counterfeit $10 bill. The two left in a black Toyota Highlander with Virginia license plates, Jenkins said.
