Brockton Trio Faces Charges for Allegedly Shoplifting, Breaking into Car at Target
The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Braintree police used security footage at the South Shore Plaza to track down a man and two women from Brockton who allegedly broke into a car parked briefly in front of Target.
The bust on Tuesday evening, March 6, also involved more than $850 worth of clothing allegedly stolen from several stores at the Plaza. The man – Daquan Ildefonso, 20 – was charged at the time, while the two women, who were not named, were to be summonsed to court, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
A Gloucester man reported to police that his car had been broken into when he left the doors unlocked to run into Target for five minutes. A GPS unit and loose change were stolen, he said. Following up, Braintree officer Matthew Heslam watched surveillance footage that Target maintains of the parking lot while officer Matthew Crowley located the suspect's vehicle and pulled it over.

"Officers Crowley and Heslam were able to view what they believed to be stolen clothing in the vehicle and conducted an investigation into the stolen G.P.S. unit and the ownership of the clothing," Jenkins said. "Based on statements made by Ildefonso, he was placed under arrest for breaking into the Gloucester man’s vehicle."
In addition to clothing believed stolen from J. Crew and The Children's Place, police found clothing from Victoria's Secrets hidden in Ildefonso's jeans, Jenkins said.
