WATCH: Bus Fire, Crash Slows Down I-93 South
The fire is out, but traffic is crawling down the highway.

BRAINTREE, MA — A bus fire caused delays around the South Shore Plaza and Interstate 93 Monday afternoon.
At 3:38 p.m., police in Braintree closed the ramp to I-93 South and the southbound lane of Granite Street in front of the mall due to a bus fire. The fire was out by 4 p.m., with the exit 6 southbound ramp to Interstate 93, one lane on the highway, and Granite Street opening at 4:50 p.m.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area if possible. At one point, traffic down I-93 south from the mall to Route 24 was traveling at about 14 mph, according to Total Traffic.
