CLOSINGS AND UPDATES: No Street Parking Allowed

BRAINTREE, MA - Just as there was snow to end last week, Braintree is now preparing for up to 12 inches of snow to start the new week. Below is a list of closures and updates from the storm.

NO SCHOOL

Due to the expected snowstorm, the Braintree Public Schools will be closed Monday.

STREET PARKING BAN

In addition, the town will be implementing an on-street parking ban from 7 a.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday. The public parking lots will be open.

NO TRACK PICKUP

Track pickup has been delayed by a day. The remainder of the week will operate on a one-day delay.

COURTS ARE CLOSED

Quincy District and all Norfolk County courthouses will remain closed Monday.

TOWN HALL CLOSED

Town Hall is closed today, according to Town Council President Sean Powers.

SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING POSTPONED

The School Building Committee and School Committee meetings scheduled for Monday night have been postponed until Tuesday.

STAY HOME IF YOU CAN

With reported downed wires and car accidents this morning, the Braintree Police Department is asking residents to stay at home and off the roads if possible.
