Heroin, Crack Found During Braintree Traffic Stop

BRAINTREE, MA — A Quincy woman had heroin and crack cocaine in her car during a traffic stop, police said.
Nicole Gillihan, 47, was arrested on Aug. 12 shortly after 1:30 a.m. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving without vehicle registration in possession, not having an inspection sticker, operating under the influence of drugs, and possession of both a Class A and B drugs, according to Police Chief Russell Jenkins.
Early Friday morning, Officer Corey Chambers ran a check of a vehicle he was traveling behind on Elm Street and learned that the vehicle had an expired inspection sticker and the registered owner did not appear to be licensed, Jenkins said.

During a traffic stop, Chambers learned that the driver, identified as Gillihan, was not licensed and informed her that she could not drive the car. While preparing the vehicle to be towed, officers located several items commonly used with drugs. Officers also found heroin and crack cocaine.
Gillihan and she was subsequently placed under arrest.
